“EARTH” is a project proposal of responsible and sustainable design, applied on the editorial ambit. The idea consists in a magazine, printed on both sides and that is uncut. The physical result is comparable to an accordion that is only sustained by two hardcovers, at beginning and the end, with spines that can be opened easily. This way, the reader can open it from both sides. A part from interviews and articles about the current world of design, it includes interactive elements.
As you can see on the right, the prototype was was four meters long. Then it was folded in the middle and along the pages. The cover was made out of recycled fabrics.
Note: My work consists in the design of the pages and the text. Only few of these pictures and illustrations show my own personal work as for instance the interactive number drawings, the Appleillustration, and the collectable Gill Sans piece and the Eric Gill collage.
